About Me

This is SUKALYAN MUKHERJEE.I am strongly disillusioned by my present way of living although I have no financial problem. There is complete peace in my house as well. But What I lack is proper guide who can lead to self realisation.I have visited many religious organisations but could find to my satisfaction good associates who are really wants snap illusion of relative phenomenal world. Wherever I go people talk about only money, power, postion and never look beyond to find out the transcendal truth.

I want to be a part of the movement that will spread the ideology of Sri Aurobindo and the mother and in this life itself  I want to strive for mergence with Supermind.

I hope this forum will get me  the courage to renounce all worldly pleasure and focus on only absolute.

Dear Sukalyan,
You have done the right choice by joining AUROSPACE."he who chooses the Divine, is chosen by the Divine" ? this is what Sri Aurobindo has said. You have been here, as so chooses the Divine.

Dear Sukalyan. here is a verse, a mantra for you, from Sri Aurobindo's epic poem SAVITRI :

........"Remember why thou cam'st:
Find out thy soul, recover thy hid self,
In silence seek God's meaning in thy depths,
Then mortal nature change to the divine.".......

Savitri Book VII, Canto II /The Book of Yoga

The last line really shows the difference between the ancient yogas and Sri Aurobindo's yoga: not escape or liberation from the world and our mortal nature, but divine TRANSFORMATION.

Very best regards to you,

Namaste Sukalyan,
Thank you for joining Aurospace- it is really good to meet people who share an interest in the processes of Yoga - so a warm welcome to you.
My understanding from the great Yoga texts such as Yoga Vasistha is that there is no need to renounce, denounce, announce, pronounce
with regards to worldly pleasure. The Absolute is in all guises and disguises. The adventure of consciousness is an exciting life-time journey, with the Mother and Sri Aurobindo as guides. They never decreed an 'ideology' but through conversations with those who were interested and committed to the Yoga, They offered insights, according to individual abilities and needs. Lalit's post on Yoga and hypnotism by Sri Aurobindo shows how the mind creates/shapes our realities, and from this knowledge we can learn to see the Divine behind all shifting appearances. What other people talk about is their karma/dharma. As the Mother has said, on many occasions, we should be concerned with ourselves and our own goals. Yoga is not an easy journey and we come face to face with our own challenges at every step. A sense of humour is good to have! Tara has made some really good suggestions for reading Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.

Dear Sukalyan, thank you for this very honest and wonderful contribution....

Everyone starts like that, one day or another, being totally unsatisfied with one's present situation.

As you have found Sri Aurobindo, just read his books and The Mother's and trust Their Guidance.

His Letters to his disciples are also very helpful. When His other books (sometimes) are too difficult, I always go back to the Letters and find just the instruction I need....

By reading Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, you connect with Their Consciousness and will receive Their help.

But one thing is needed:

Patience and Faith.

The changes of our human nature are slow. That is true for every form of yoga.

What is needed is aspiration, faith and goodwill. All disciples experience this.

I came in contact with Sri Aurobindo and The Mother (not physically, of course) in 1978, in Pondicherry.

It has been a long way, but to have found Them is my only happiness!!!

Kind regards,

Sri Aurobindo

The Mother
